Which accounting systems can be connected to UAE e-invoicing?
Five zones, seven ways of connecting, one connector. Find your system, see how it connects and when it can go live.
The key: seven ways a system is connected. Tap one to light up the systems that use it.
Small business and desktop
Accounting software on a PC or a server in your office.
A small Windows service on the PC or server where Tally runs reads each posted voucher and sends it. Priced per company.
A small Windows service beside Sage 50 reads posted invoices and credit notes.
A small Windows service on the BUSY server sends each posted invoice.
A small Windows service on the Al-Ameen server sends each posted invoice.
Built by your own team on SQL: the service reads posted invoices from the database.
For any system without an interface. Up to 300 invoices a month.
Cloud apps
Nothing to install: you connect your account online and the connector runs on Xrero's servers.
Connected to your QuickBooks Online company with your permission.
Connected to your Zoho Books organisation with your permission.
Connected to your Xero organisation with your permission.
Connected to your Daftra account with your permission.
The vendor-hosted online edition: connected to your database online.
Mid-market ERP
An add-on inside the ERP, or a small service beside it.
An extension installed inside Business Central.
A small Windows service on your server reads posted invoices and sends them.
AX 2012 has no REST API: middleware on your server reads posted invoices from the AX SQL database, read-only. The status is kept in our own table, and your Microsoft partner can add one field to show it inside AX.
An add-on through the Service Layer or the DI API.
A SuiteApp with SuiteScript, inside your NetSuite account.
An add-on installed inside ERPNext.
Community or Enterprise edition on your own server: an add-on inside the system.
Connected to your Sage system through its API, database or export.
Connected through the system's API, database or export.
Enterprise
A project with your certified partner. Xrero delivers the field mapping, the test pack and the coordination with your provider.
Your SAP partner works inside the system; we deliver the mapping and the tests with your provider.
Your Oracle partner works inside the system; we deliver the mapping and the tests with your provider.
Your Microsoft partner works inside the system; we deliver the mapping and the tests with your provider.
Your Infor partner works inside the system; we deliver the mapping and the tests with your provider.
Any other system
Not on this map? If it has an API, a database or an export, it can be connected.
Tell us the system and version; the readiness check shows how it connects.
Export your invoices to Excel or CSV and upload them. Up to 300 invoices a month.
Every line ends at the same place
Whatever the system, the connector does the same four jobs: it sends tax invoices and credit notes when they are posted, writes the provider's status, UUID and any rejection reason back, brings supplier e-invoices in as drafts where the system allows it, and checks every day that each posted invoice was accepted.
Who does what, from your system to the FTA?
Xrero
- Builds, installs and tests the connector on your system
- Maps your invoices to the PINT AE fields, starting with 20 real ones
- Writes the status, UUID and any rejection reason back
- Checks every day, retries and alerts you
- Keeps it current with FTA rule and provider API changes, with yearly support
You
- Choose and sign with an accredited provider from the Ministry of Finance register
- Give us access to your system, or a test copy of it
- Fix the data gaps we list, for example customers without a TRN
- Post invoices as you do today
Your provider (ASP)
- Validates each invoice in the PINT AE format
- Exchanges it over Peppol with the buyer's provider
- Reports it to the Federal Tax Authority
- Gives test access, so the connection is tested before go-live
Some software makers are on the Ministry of Finance register themselves. Most businesses still need their system connected to the provider they chose, and that is the part Xrero builds and supports.
What do we need from you to start?
Six things. Most businesses have them in a day.
- Your system and its versionAnd where it runs: cloud, your server or a PC.
- How many TRNs or companiesEach one that issues tax invoices.
- Your providerThe one you chose, or the ones you are comparing.
- 20 recent invoicesWith at least one credit note, for the readiness check.
- Two contactsOne in finance, one in IT or at your system partner.
- Test accessA test company in your system and your provider's sandbox.
When must my business be ready?
The dates set by the Ministry of Finance.

WhatsApp usCommon questions
Which accounting systems can Xrero connect to UAE e-invoicing?
Desktop software such as TallyPrime, Sage 50, BUSY and Al-Ameen; cloud apps such as QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books, Xero and Daftra; mid-market ERPs such as Business Central, Dynamics NAV, GP and AX 2012, SAP Business One, Oracle NetSuite, ERPNext, open-source ERPs and the Sage 200 to Intacct range; enterprise systems as a project with your certified partner; and any other system with an API, a database or an export, or an Excel/CSV upload.
Do I have to install anything?
It depends on the system. Cloud apps need nothing installed: you connect your account online. ERPs get an add-on inside the system. Desktop and on-premises software gets a small Windows service on your PC or server. Dynamics AX 2012 gets middleware that reads the database, read-only.
My software maker is on the Ministry of Finance register. Do I still need a connector?
Some software makers are accredited providers themselves. If you use your software maker's own e-invoicing service, ask them what it covers. Most businesses still need their system connected to the provider they chose, and that is what Xrero builds and supports.
How long until my system is live?
For the first build of each system: SAP Business One and NetSuite 7 to 12 weeks, Business Central 8 to 11, ERPNext 8 to 12, TallyPrime 12 to 16, cloud apps 10 to 14 weeks for the first app and then 3 to 4 weeks for each next one. Open-source ERP version 17 in January 2027 and 18 to 20 in February 2027; Excel/CSV upload in January 2027. Other systems: confirmed at the readiness check.
Is Xrero an e-invoicing service provider?
No. Xrero does not replace your provider. You sign with an accredited provider from the Ministry of Finance register, and we connect your accounting system to it.
What does a connector cost?
Prices are sent by e-mail. Write to info@xrero.com with your accounting system and your provider, and we send the price for year 1 (set-up plus 12 months of support) and for year 2 onwards.
Is Xrero the same as Xero?
No. Xrero is a Dubai company with no link to Xero Limited. Xero is one of the cloud apps on this map.
