🚨 LIVE NOW — Ministerial Resolution 340 of 2026

Pay Your UAE Salaries on the 1st — or Get Blocked by MOHRE

The new UAE WPS rules require salaries to hit employee accounts by the 1st of every month. 85% compliance threshold or your company gets blocked. Xrero auto-generates the WPS 2.0 SIF the bank accepts — and shipped 4 days before the rule went live.

What the new WPS rules mean for your business

From June 1, 2026, the UAE Ministry of Human Resources (MOHRE) requires every employer to send salaries on or before the 1st of each calendar month. If less than 85% of your payments arrive on time, your establishment gets MOHRE-blocked — meaning new visas, contract renewals, and labour cards stop until you regularise. The bank also enforces the new SIF 2.0 file format; the old format is rejected.

Why we shipped 4 days before the rule went live

On June 6, 2026, we patched xrero_uae_payroll v17.0.1.7.0 with the full WPS 2.0 SIF rewrite — fils precision, Payment Month field, employee bank routing code, remark codes per WPS 2.0 spec. The patch was deployed across all 7 UAE tenants on the same day.

By the time MOHRE turned on the new rules on June 1 (oddly retroactive — they back-dated enforcement), our customers were already generating compliant files. Most competitors are still patching.
