The short answer

What is Xrero for home healthcare companies?

  • Xrero is cloud business software built in Dubai for UAE home healthcare companies: it runs the visits, the staff and the payroll, not the patient's medical record.
  • Each visit carries the patient, address, nurse, service and status; the patient signs the visit's documents on the nurse's phone, every signature goes into a register, and a nurse, physiotherapist or doctor with no valid licence on file shows as "not clear to work".
  • Office users cost AED 99 a month (AED 83 annual) with every app included; employees who use the staff app cost AED 20 a month or AED 200 a year; staff on fingerprint terminals only are not charged, and set-up from AED 2,999 is optional.
  • It is not Xero (X-E-R-O), the New Zealand accounting company; Xrero (X-R-E-R-O) is a separate UAE company.
Key facts

What does Xrero include for a home healthcare company?

Home healthcareIn Xrero
Price · office usersCoordinators, HR, accounts and managers: AED 99 per user a month with every app included, or AED 83 on the annual plan; prices exclude 5% VAT
Price · staff appEmployees who use the staff app (check in and out from the phone, payslips, leave, their own documents, claims): AED 20 per employee a month or AED 200 a year. Nurses who use the phone screen for nurses (visits, patient signatures, Start shift) pay this same staff price. Staff who only check in on a fingerprint or face terminal, or only receive payslips, are not charged
Set-upOptional, from AED 2,999 once: our Dubai team sets up employees, contracts, shifts, devices and balances, and trains your staff; live in about two weeks with set-up
Trial and languages15 days, no card. Arabic and English on every screen; payslips print in both
Visits and signaturesEach visit: patient name, phone, area and address, nurse, service, notes and status. You set the documents each visit needs signed, such as a consent form; the patient signs on the nurse's phone, on a full-screen pad; every signature goes into a register and the signed document stays on the visit
The nurse's phoneFour tabs: who she sees next, what the patient has to sign, Start shift with location, and her own licences, hours and payslips; expense claims are filed there too; she sees only what her access allows
Licences and documentsProfessional licence, BLS / CPR, visa, Emirates ID, labour card and more, with the authority (DoH, DHA, MOH, MOHRE, ICP or other), number, dates and a scan; valid, expiring or expired; a warning window of 60 days by default and a to-do inside the system. It tracks the dates you enter; it does not check a licence with any authority
"Not clear to work"Everyone who may not work today: an expired labour card or residence visa, or a nurse, physiotherapist or doctor with no valid licence on file
Shifts and payrollCheck-in from the phone with location (refused without it) or a fingerprint or face terminal; fixed, rotating and split shifts, Ramadan hours and overtime; the approved timesheet becomes the salary draft, then one approval gives the WPS salary file (SIF)
Not includedNo medical records (EMR), no e-prescriptions, no insurance claims sent to DHPO, Shafafiya or eClaimLink, and no insurer approvals as standard; approval tracking can be built as custom work
Your dataYour own workspace and database, backed up twice a day

What Xrero is not: a medical-records (EMR) system. It has no e-prescriptions, it does not submit insurance claims to DHPO, Shafafiya or eClaimLink, and insurer approvals are not part of the standard system. Keep your clinical system for the medical side; Xrero runs the visits, staff and payroll beside it. If you need insurer approvals tracked, we can build it as custom work.

The problem

Paper forms, a licence spreadsheet, hours by message

A home care company runs on people in the field. The paperwork usually stays behind.

VisitsForms signed at the door and carried back in the carSigned on the nurse's phone, kept on the visit
LicencesAn expiry found when someone checksA warning 60 days ahead and a list of who may not work
PayrollHours pieced together from messagesCheck-ins with location, then the WPS file
Inside the product

How does a day of home visits look in Xrero?

Every visit with its patient, nurse, service and what is left to sign.

Signatures

Signed at the door, kept on the visit

You choose the documents each visit needs signed, such as a consent form. The patient signs on the nurse's phone, on a full-screen pad, and the signed document stays on the visit.

  • Every signature goes into one register
  • The nurse sees what the patient still has to sign
  • Find a signed form from the visit or from the register

Licences

Licences tracked to the day, and a list of who may not work

Each document has its issuing authority, number, issue and expiry dates and a scan that opens in the browser. A daily check raises a to-do inside the system when a document enters the warning window, 60 days by default, and again on the day it lapses.

  • "Not clear to work": an expired labour card or visa, or a licensed role with no valid licence on file
  • It tracks the dates you enter; it does not check a licence with any authority
  • Each nurse sees her own licences and expiry dates on her phone

Is it right for you?

Who is Xrero for, and who is it not for?

A good fit if…

You run a home nursing, physiotherapy or home healthcare company in the UAE with licensed staff in the field, and you want visits, patient signatures, licence expiry, shifts and WPS payroll in one system, in Arabic and English.

Not the right fit if…

You need a medical record (EMR), e-prescriptions or insurance claims sent to DHPO, Shafafiya or eClaimLink: that is a clinical system's job, and Xrero does not do it. You can keep your clinical system and run Xrero beside it.

Common questions

What is the best home care software in the UAE?

No one system suits every home care company; it depends on yours. First decide what it must run. Medical records, e-prescriptions and insurance claims need a clinical system. For the visits, the staff and the pay, check five things: the patient's signature on the nurse's phone, licences tracked to expiry with a list of who may not work, check-in with location, payroll with the WPS file, and Arabic and English. Xrero does those five: office users AED 99 a month (AED 83 annual), employees on the staff app AED 20 a month or AED 200 a year, with optional set-up from AED 2,999. It is not an EMR.

How much does home care software cost in the UAE?

Office users AED 99 a month (AED 83 annual); employees who use the staff app AED 20 a month or AED 200 a year; staff on fingerprint terminals only are not charged. Office users (coordinators, HR, accounts) get every app; the staff app covers phone check-in and out, payslips, leave, their own documents and claims, and a nurse who uses the phone screen for nurses (visits, patient signatures) pays the same AED 20. Prices exclude 5% VAT. Set-up by our team is optional, from AED 2,999 once. There is a 15-day trial with no card.

How does the patient sign on the nurse's phone?

You set up the documents each visit needs signed, such as a consent form. At the visit the nurse opens it on her phone and the patient signs on a full-screen pad. The signature goes into the signature register and the signed document stays on the visit.

How does licence expiry tracking work?

Each employee's documents are kept with the issuing authority (DoH, DHA, MOH, MOHRE, ICP or other), number, issue and expiry dates and a scan. Each shows as valid, expiring or expired. A daily check raises a to-do for the responsible person when a document enters the warning window, 60 days by default, and again on the day it lapses. These are reminders inside the system, not e-mails. Xrero tracks the dates you enter; it does not check a licence with any authority.

What does "not clear to work" mean?

It is one list of everyone who may not work today, built from the dates on file: an expired labour card or residence visa, or a nurse, physiotherapist or doctor with no valid licence on file. Coordinators can check it before they plan the day.

What does the nurse see on her phone?

A simple four-tab screen: who she sees next, what the patient has to sign, Start shift (with her location), and her own licences, hours and payslips. She files expense claims there too, with a category and a receipt photo. She sees only what her access allows.

Does Xrero keep medical records or submit insurance claims?

No. Xrero has no medical records (EMR), no e-prescriptions, no insurance claim submission to DHPO, Shafafiya or eClaimLink, and no insurer approvals as standard. It runs the visits, staff and payroll beside your clinical system. Insurance approval tracking can be built for you as custom work.

Does it make the WPS salary file for nurses?

Yes. Salaries, overtime, leave and end-of-service gratuity are worked out under UAE labour law. The approved timesheet becomes the salary draft, and one approval produces the WPS salary file (SIF) for the bank or exchange house. Payslips print in Arabic and English, and staff see them on their phone.

How do nurses check in for their shift?

The nurse taps Start shift on her phone, and the check-in carries the phone's location; a punch without a location is refused. The attendance list shows each punch on a map pin. One tap is one punch, so a double tap never opens and closes a shift.

Does it work in Arabic?

Yes. Every screen works in Arabic and English, including the nurse's phone screen, and payslips print in both languages.

Is Xrero the same as Xero?

No. Xrero (X-R-E-R-O) is business software built in Dubai for UAE companies. Xero (X-E-R-O) is a separate accounting company from New Zealand. The two are not related.
