UAE e-invoicing · for the system you already use

Connect your accounting system to your e-invoicing provider

Accredited e-invoicing providers give you an API, a web portal and Peppol exchange, but most do not install anything inside your accounting system. Xrero builds, installs, tests and supports that connection, for Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, Sage, Business Central, NetSuite and more.

The plain answer

What does a UAE business need for e-invoicing?

Two things: an accredited e-invoicing service provider (ASP) and a connection between your accounting system and that provider. The provider validates each invoice in the PINT AE format, exchanges it over Peppol and reports it to the Federal Tax Authority. The connection makes your system send each invoice to the provider when you post it, and bring the answer back.

Choose your provider from the Ministry of Finance register of accredited providers. Xrero is not a provider and does not replace one: we connect your system to the provider you chose.

  2. 2

The connector

What does the connector do?

Four jobs, inside the system your team already uses.

Sends invoices when posted

Tax invoices and credit notes go to your provider automatically the moment you post them. No export, no re-typing.

Writes the answer back

The provider's status, the UUID and any rejection reason appear on the invoice itself, where your team works.

Brings supplier e-invoices in

E-invoices your suppliers send you arrive in payables as draft bills, for your team to check and post.

Checks every day

Every posted invoice is checked against the provider daily. Failures are retried, and you get an alert for anything left.

Common questions

Do I still need an e-invoicing provider if Xrero connects my system?

Yes. Xrero is not an e-invoicing service provider and does not replace one. You sign with an accredited provider from the Ministry of Finance register; we connect your accounting system to that provider and support the connection.

Which providers do you work with?

Any accredited provider you have chosen. If we have not connected to your provider before, we build the link to its API together with the provider, in about 2 to 3 weeks after it gives us test access. That is included in the price.

My provider says it does not install anything in my ERP. What now?

That is common: most providers offer an API, a web portal and Peppol exchange. The part inside your system is what Xrero does: it sends posted invoices, writes back the status and UUID, brings supplier invoices in, and checks every day.

What happens if I do not renew the yearly support?

A connector installed on your own system keeps working; there is no lock. Updates, monitoring and support stop. Connectors hosted by Xrero stop 30 days after the last paid year, with a full export of your data.

When does my business have to be ready?

Under Ministerial Decision No. 244 of 2025 as amended by Ministerial Decision No. 66 of 2026: revenue of AED 50 million or more appoints a provider by 30 October 2026 and goes live by 1 January 2027; revenue under AED 50 million by 31 March 2027 and 1 July 2027; government entities by 31 March 2027 and 1 October 2027. B2C sales are not in scope.

Is Xrero the same as Xero?

No. Xrero is a Dubai company with no link to Xero Limited. Xero is one of the accounting apps we connect to your e-invoicing provider.

Start with 20 of your own invoices.
