WPS SIF file checker for UAE payroll
Drop your .sif file. Every line is checked the way the bank checks it, before you send it.
Free · the file never leaves your browser · a check, not a bank approval
What this checker does for you
Every month your company sends its bank a salary file (.sif) so salaries are paid through WPS. If one detail in it is wrong, the bank sends the whole file back and salaries go out late. Put your file here: it tells you, in plain words, which line is wrong and what to change.
The .sif file your payroll system or bank portal made. It stays on your device.
“Ready to send” means no errors. Otherwise each problem is listed with its line number.
Correct those lines in your payroll, make the file again, check it once more, then send it to the bank.

The six things banks reject files for
Every IBAN is tested with the mod-97 rule, so one wrong digit or two swapped digits are caught.
Nine digits on every employee line and on the summary line.
Real dates, start before end, and the days field equal to end − start + 1.
Numbers with up to two decimals, none negative, and no line paying zero.
Variable pay broken into its parts, and the parts adding up to the EDR figure.
One SCR, at the end, with the right count, the right total, AED and the salary month.

What is a WPS SIF file?
The salary information file a UAE employer gives its bank or exchange house each month. The bank pays the salaries and reports them to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) through the Wages Protection System.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The checker runs in your browser. The file is read on your device and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
Why do banks reject SIF files?
The usual reasons: a wrong IBAN or routing code, a summary total that does not match the lines, a wrong record count, wrong dates or day counts, and variable pay without its EVP line.
Does a clean result mean the bank will accept it?
It means the file passes the structural checks most rejections come from. Your bank's own upload check has the final word, and some banks use an older layout, which the checker accepts with a note.
When must the file be sent?
Since 1 June 2026 the wages for the previous month are due through WPS by the 1st of each month, and a payment on the 2nd is late. Our WPS deadlines page shows what follows each day.
Where do the employee ID and routing code come from?
The employee ID is the person code on the MoHRE work permit. The routing code is a 9-digit code for the bank or exchange house that holds the employee's account; your bank can give you the list.
