Who is Xrero for, and who is it not for?
You run guards on posts at client sites in the UAE, on day, night and rotating shifts, and want check-ins with location, overtime by your rules, licences and visas kept in date, WPS payroll and monthly client contracts invoiced with 5% VAT, in Arabic and English.
You need guard-tour checkpoint scanning, an incident-report app, or a link to CCTV or alarm panels: a guard-tour or security-operations system fits better, and Xrero can run beside it for HR, payroll and accounts. Xrero is not approved by or connected to SIRA.

Common questions
What is the best security company software in the UAE?
No one system suits every security company; it depends on yours. Check five things: check-in at the post with the phone's location, day, night and rotating shifts with overtime rules, guard licences and visas tracked to expiry, payroll that makes the WPS file, and client contracts invoiced on schedule with 5% VAT. If you need patrol checkpoint scanning or incident reports, look at a guard-tour system as well. Xrero does the five in one system, at AED 99 a month per office user (AED 83 on the annual plan) and AED 20 a month per guard on the staff app, with optional set-up from AED 2,999.
How much does security guard management software cost in the UAE?
Xrero has two prices for people who sign in. Office users (managers, HR and accounts) cost AED 99 a month each, or AED 83 on the annual plan, with every app included: attendance, payroll, contracts, recruitment and accounting. Guards who use the staff app on their phone (check in and out, payslips, leave, their own documents, claims) cost AED 20 a month each, or AED 200 a year. Guards who only check in on a fingerprint or face terminal, or only receive payslips, are not charged. Set-up by our team is optional, from AED 2,999 once. There is a 15-day trial with no card.
How do guards check in at their post with location?
The guard opens Xrero on the phone at the post and taps once to check in; the phone's location is saved with the punch, and a punch without a location is refused. The attendance list shows each punch on a map pin and flags any punch with no location. One tap is one punch: a double tap never opens and closes a shift. Posts with a fingerprint or face terminal can use it instead; the terminal pushes each tap over the internet, with no office server, VPN or USB export, and it is added by serial number and approved before its punches count.
Can it handle night and rotating guard shifts and overtime?
Yes. Day, night and rotating shifts are set as rules, with weekends per site, Ramadan hours, grace and rounding. Overtime counts after the shift ends and on rest days. Leave approved in the system closes the gap, and a manager's correction needs a reason and stays on record. The approved timesheet then becomes the salary draft.
How are guard licences and visas tracked to expiry?
Each guard's licence, first-aid and training certificates, residence visa, Emirates ID and labour card are on file with the issuer, number, issue and expiry dates and a scanned copy that opens in the browser. Each shows valid, expiring or expired; the warning window is set per company, 60 days by default. A daily check raises a to-do for the responsible person when a document enters the window, and again on the day it lapses; these are reminders inside the system, not e-mails. "Not clear to work" lists guards with an expired labour card or residence visa. Xrero tracks the dates you enter; it does not check a licence with any authority.
Is Xrero approved by SIRA or connected to it?
No. Xrero is not approved, accredited or licensed by SIRA or any other authority, and it is not connected to any authority's system. It keeps the guard licence numbers, dates and scanned copies that you enter and shows which are expiring or expired; checking a licence with the authority stays with your team.
Does it make the WPS salary file for guards?
Yes. Payroll covers salaries, overtime, leave and end-of-service gratuity under UAE labour law. The approved timesheet becomes the salary draft, and one approval produces the WPS salary file (SIF) for your bank or exchange house. Payslips print in Arabic and English.
Can we invoice client guarding contracts every month?
Yes. In the Subscription app each client contract is a plan with its own price and billing period, and Xrero raises the invoice on schedule with 5% VAT. Renewals and cancellations are kept on the contract.
Does it do patrol checkpoint scanning, incident reports or CCTV?
No, not today. Xrero has no guard-tour or patrol checkpoint scanning, no incident-report app and no link to CCTV or alarm panels. It runs the guards, post check-ins, shifts, licences, payroll, client contracts and accounts, and it can run beside a guard-tour system.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Every screen is in Arabic and English, for every user, and invoices and payslips can print in both languages.
Is Xrero the same as Xero?
No. Xrero (X-R-E-R-O) is business software built in Dubai for UAE companies. Xero (X-E-R-O) is a separate accounting company from New Zealand. The two are not related.
