Common questions

How is UAE corporate tax calculated?

Start from the accounting profit, add back costs that cannot be deducted, take off exempt income and allowed losses. Taxable income up to AED 375,000 is taxed at 0% and the part above it at 9%.

Is the first AED 375,000 tax-free for everyone?

For most UAE businesses, yes: it is taxed at 0%. Qualifying free zone persons follow a different regime, and large multinational groups may owe a 15% top-up tax.

When is the corporate tax return due?

Within nine months of the end of the tax period. For a year ending 31 December 2026, by 30 September 2027. The tax is paid by the same date.

Do I still file if I take Small Business Relief?

Yes. The relief is chosen inside the return, so registration and filing are still required.
